3.75-4 stars. I love Kristen Ashley. She has this magical way of making me want to be one of the characters in her books, even if I was just an extra; like a coffee shop customer in the Rock Chick sagas. She is absolutely the Queen
of Alpha-Male characterizations and is one of the few authors in which I have read EVERY SINGLE ONE of her books.
This book was not like her other works... it's not that I didn't enjoy it, but where was the real drama other than the Lanie created crap? Even the sex, which is usually off the charts scorching, felt a bit flat (damn, now I have the commercials for Cialis and Viagra running through my head). I know that KA recently signed with a new publisher though, and I hope she remembers her old formula; it wasn't broke and it didn't need to be fixed.
